Surfing in nonlinear waves and cosmic rays

We show a possibility for generating cosmic rays (CR) of energies up to 10 20 eV caused by particle surfatron acceleration (surfing) in potential waves propagating in weakly magnetized cosmic plasma. Problems arising at surfing realization are discussed. We draw the conclusion that it is possible to reasonably explain the CR origin within the surfing conception.
