Te author publishes the work of Sergey Durylin devoted to analyzing the aesthetics of Konstanin Leontʹyev. In the 1920’s, Durylin was the only scholar not afraid to publicly speak of the work of this conservative Orthodox philosopher. Durylin’s treatise has not only historical but also scholarly value. Te model of aesthetics is viewed in the contexts of the most important paradigms of Leontʹyev’s philosophy: religious experience, a triune law of development, the philosophy of history, the concept of form, the problem of evil, political structures and his views on socialism. Te central idea of this treatise is the understanding of Leontʹyev’s aesthetics as the aesthetics of life. In this way Durylin continues the ideas of Vasily Rozanov and Archpriest Iosif Fudelʹ.
