Social subsystems of natural and anthropogenic complexes in rural areas are an essential element of sustainable agricultural development. The network organization of interaction of subjects included in the social subsystems of natural-anthropogenic complexes has a twofold basis. On the one hand, in social subsystems there are traditional network forms of interaction, which are based on the cooperation of people living in a certain territory, with the aim of mutually beneficial cooperation to perform certain types of work. On the other hand, social networks arise on the basis of common interests that are not directly related to production processes in agriculture. It is this type of network organization of social communities that is studied in this study. The article shows the main factors contributing to the emergence of networks in social subsystems of natural and anthropogenic complexes. It has been established that such networks can be formal and informal, and arise as a response of the social community of rural areas to a significant transformation of the familiar living environment, including economic, technological and environmental transformation. In addition, it is shown that certain types of economic activity, characteristic of the economic subsystems of natural-anthropogenic complexes, contribute to the formation of social network communities. This trend is especially pronounced when the population of rural areas is involved in alternative economic activities that are not directly related to agricultural production. The article presents an analysis of the main trends in the development of network communities of social subsystems of natural-anthropogenic complexes, identifies the most likely directions of their evolutionary changes.
