Northern pika (Ochotona hyperborea Pall., 1811) in the Pred-Baikalia conditions (Eastern Siberia)

The authors’ observationson the behavior of the northern pika(Ochotona hyperborea Pall., 1811)whose active colony is registered in the territory of the settlement Nizhny Kochergat, located in 18 km from the Lake Baikal are presented in the article. Various reactions of small animals to the emergence of the strange sounds or animals is noted, the sharp negative reaction is connected with a chipmunk (Tamias sibiricus Laxmann, 1769).
