The North Caucasus in the framework of sustained development concept

The concept of sustainable development of Russia is based on differentiated scientific approaches that take into account the diversity of natural, national, social, cultural and political phenomena that take place in the Russian state. At the same time, isolating the system-forming link in the hierarchy of components determining the sustainable development of modern Russia, it should be emphasized that for all the global nature of environmental problems, the main task of Russia remains political - to preserve and strengthen a federal state. This task has always been and will continue to stand, but today it is particularly relevant in connection with the political destabilization in the Middle East and the dangerous political course of a number of former Soviet republics. In this regard, the North Caucasus today is seen as the most vulnerable region in terms of state security.
