Theoretical and practical issues of international relations development in North America in terms of spatial aspect are given in the article. International relations development in North America in the 19 th century is considered from the viewpoint of spatial evolution of the regional subsystem. The most important tool in formation of the North American subsystem of international relations is the territorial expansion of the USA, methods of political geography are used to study it.
