In 1990-2010-ies some peoples from USSA immigrated to France, among them were not only Russian, but North Caucasians. The aim of this research is the Islamic life of the North Caucasian women in modern France. The purpose of this article is to show the place of women in the modern life of the North Caucasians in France. This article was prepared on the basis of collected new field ethnographic materials in France by the author in 2015-2016. The author concludes that in France the North Caucasian Diaspora is divided on two kinds: «active Muslims» and «passive Muslims» (socalled ethnic Muslims). From point of author's view the Islam in France for the North Caucasians is one the main psychological tool, a kind of adaptation to life in France. As a result there is a change in the formation of identity: national identity of the North Caucasians in France becomes religious identity. The author concludes that some of the women from the North Caucasus, who are actively going in Islam, are beginning to restrict their lifestyle. They try to live only within their own religious family. Other women, however, don't want to Islam, and actively integrate into French society.
