Seasonal dynamics of organic carbon content in sediments of the Northern Caspian

The paper presents the results of a study of the influence of abiotic and biotic factors on the seasonal dynamics of organic matter in sediments of the western part of the Northern Caspian. The zoning of the water area under exploration is performed in order to identify areas where organic matter accumulation in sediments depends on the source of organic matter supply.
