Seasonal and sexual variation of leukocytal composition parameters in the house mouse (Muridae, rodentia) in the mountains of Central Caucasus

The leucocytal system of the house mouse (Mus musculus L.) has been first studied in the middle moun-tains of the Central Caucasus (village Elbrus, 1800m a.s.l.) all throughout year. Low values of leucocytes over the course of a year and smooth seasonal dynamics of parameters in the middle mountains shown. Activization of protective immune processes is established in cold period of autumn and winter.
