Seasonal development of Scilla and Chionodoxa representatives in the Mari El Republic

The studying results of the seasonal development of 3 Chionodoxa and Scilla representatives in Yoshkar-Ola are presented. Phenological observations were carried out in 2014-2019 according to the methodology of the Main Botanical Garden of the RAS. Plants of the studied species vegetated from the end of the April first decade to the beginning of June, bloomed from the second decade of April to the beginning of May. The duration of flowering of the studied small bulbs averaged 9-13 days, plants of Scilla bifolia had early end of flowering and early leaf regrowth. The obtained data can be used in the practice of growing the studied small-leaved plants in the settlements of the region.
