The normal flexion and extension movies of lumbar spine was studied based on data obtained through the examination of 150 patients who had presented no complaints regarding lumbar spine. As a result, a quantitative description of a normal flexion and extension movies for lumbar spine was elaborated. The study addressed such issues as the impact of separate segments on the development of movement, with the identification of relevant quantitative parameters. In addition, sexual differences of the quantitative parameters describing the flexion and extension movies of lumbar spine were determined. The study analyzed tendencies in flexion and extension movies transformation during the life period of 17-70 years of age.
