Shalabolino petroglyphs (problems of museumification)

The article discusses the issues of museumification of monuments of ancient rock art in the context of the problem of preservation, studying and promotion of cultural and historical heritage. It offers the solutions through the example of a unique monument of ancient art in North Asia – Shalabolino petroglyphs. The article presents the authors' vision of the opportunities of the reserve project's development and the creation of a cultural institution on its base, namely the archaeological and ethnographic museum “Shalabolino Petroglyths” which will allow solving the topical scientific, educational and pedagogic problems
