Shalom Schwartz about the toolkit for assessing human values: in the context of psychological work with police personnel

The article is devoted to the analysis of the contribution to the development of psychology of the foreign scientist Sh.Kh. Schwartz, whose ideas occupy an important place in the system of formulations of the value scale, in the context of the theory of social learning and the theory of social cognition. Revealing the typology of values developed by this psychologist, the author focuses on the advisability of psychologists understanding the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia both the methodology of psychological analysis of taking into account values when assessing the motive of an individual’s behavior, and the acceptability of their use of the «Schwartz Questionnaire» in their practical activities.
