Helmets of the nomads of the IX-XIV centuries from the territory of Volga-Ural region

The article is devoted to the helmets of late nomads, one of the elements of the protective arms. The author examines the helmets which were found during archeological excavations of the nomad burials in Volga-Ural region. The helmets could be divided into groups according their morphological features: the form of a dome, and the structural features. Protective helmets of the nomads of the Volga-Ural region have a number of analogies in Eurasian steppes and are dated by the 9th - 14th centuries.
