Бесплатный доступ

The contribution of Shorskiy National Park in preservation of biological and landscape diversity of the Russian part of the Altai-Sayan ecoregion is discussed. Occupying a significant area, this national park allows to keep the big areas of chern taiga and the cedar forests of the region. Due to the termination of cutting and mining on his territories there are processes of restoration of the disturbed ecosystems. In the territory of Shorskiy National Park the unique ecosystems of bogs, petrophyte vegetable groups on rocks and taluses included in the list of key botanical territories of Altai-Sayan ecoregion, sites of the old-age forests with characteristics of their structure and biota meet. Exclusively favorable conditions for processes of karst formation promoted emergence of a large number of caves, having made Shorskiy National Park the area where big groups of wing-handed animals including their rare species live and winter. Despite rather low landscape variety, park doesn't concede to other especially protected territories of the region on the level of biological diversity.
