Siberian balneology and the research institute of Siberian studies (1919-1929)

Based on published and unpublished sources, the article highlights the work of the Mineral Springs Section at the Meeting designated to the establishment of the Institute of Siberian Studies in Tomsk in 1919. The authors analyze the practical work of the Balneology and Spa Medicine Department of the Institute of Siberian Studies that had been coordinating medical research in Siberia, organizing a number of expeditions, and training the scientists in 1919-1929. The article summarizes the progress made by the Department during the short period of the existence of the institute.
