Siberian character in the book Tsar Ryba by V. P. Astafiev as a modification of the Russian national character

The article presents an analysis of the Siberian character by the book Tsar Ryba of V.P. Astafiev. The writer created significant properties of a Siberian as a specific modification of the Russian character, which was formed in exceptional ethnogeographic, social and historical circumstances. A Siberian in the image of the writer preserved the traditional features of the Russian national character, which are now largely lost. The sources of the specific properties of the Astafiev Siberian were in the harsh realities of the place and time of his prototype's existence, in the contacts of Russian culture with the culture of the aborigines of Siberia.
