Symptoms of changes in the banking system at the regional level

The article analyzes the main structural changes in the banking segment of the commodity-oriented region, among which the leading ones are the consolidation of bank assets, the decline in the profitability of credit transactions, the reduction in the number of regional banks. It is noted that the situation on the level of stability, structural changes in the financial and banking system of the regions is ambiguous. The difficulty lies in the inability to localize the regional banking system and assess its impact on the socio-economic dynamics of the territory. Attention is drawn to the lack of a clear picture of the composition of the region’s banking system. The conclusion is made about weakening the financial security of the banking system and the region as a whole. The methodology of the study is based on a combination of empirical basis and theoretical analysis of causal relationships in modern banking activities.
