A total of 5,145 geriatric patients underwent surgeries in the Department of Surgery of Samara Regional Clinical Hospital for Veterans of Wars between 1994 and 2018. Non-emergency simultaneous operations were performed in 932 (18.1%) patients. Patients’ aged varied between 60 and 92 years. The majority of them were males (77.45%). We found that non-emergency simultaneous surgeries in geriatric patients was not associated with an increased incidence of both local and systemic complications or increased death rate compared to isolated surgeries. Simultaneous surgeries in geriatric patients improved their quality of life by reducing the frequency of hospitalizations and probability of complications caused by concomitant disorders.
