The symbolic world of ornamental art

The article deals with the ornamental art where symbols as a complex class of families of signs pervade all the aesthetic space of the ornament system, functioning on each level of the ornamental composition. It is proved that art allows to transfer aesthetic information, decoding of which is carried out by a person who perceive and have a specific cultural code. The author studies the ornament as a particular artificial language containing artistic images evolving into symbols (with the availability of appropriate conditions).
