The symbolic exchange and discourse of objects in the theory of Jean Baudrillard

The purpose of this article is to consider the concept of the symbolic exchange of Jean Baudrillard. This idea had a significant impact on the humanitarian thought of the second half of the twentieth century, as well as the whole of European culture. The theory of symbolic exchange extends the framework of Freud's psychoanalysis, claiming a total spread over all things, and not only within the framework of the human psyche.
