Xinjiang in the system of Russian-Chinese trade in the XIX century

The article is devoted to defining the place and role of Xinjiang as a frontier region in the Russian-Chinese trade. That direction of the national foreign trade differed significantly from other channels of Russian-Chinese trade. The author analyzes peculiarities of organization of the foreign trade operations on the territory of Xinjiang, the social composition of merchants, the range of export and import, the problems of customs regulation, etc.
