Meigs syndrome is a symptom complex characterized by the formation of effusion processes in the serous cavities (pleural, abdominal, pericardial) and general exhaustion of the body in the presence of a benign tumor of the ovary and or uterus. The article describes the serious Meigs syndrome. After surgery - removal of the tumor (cystoma of the left ovary), the patient is discharged in a satisfactory condition. A special feature of our observation is the severity of the course of the Meigs syndrome and the danger to the life of a woman, the vastness of pleural effusion, its "inexhaustibility", the presence of effusion in the abdominal cavity. If there is an effusion in the pleural cavity and in the abdominal cavity, tumors of the small pelvis and Meigs syndrome should be excluded.
