Synesthesia as an aesthetic phenomenon

In the article the results of spectrum concepts study in modern science on the phenomenon of synesthesia are presented, and it is found that the most common areas of its consideration are biological and psychological, literary and art criticism fields. The basic aspects of synesthesia analysis as the aesthetic phenomenon are considered. The attention is drawn to the relation of synesthesia to aesthetic value orientations of the creative personality. The author also put forward the proposal that synesthesia as the aesthetic phenomenon stimulates the aesthetic motive of human creativity.
