Sino-Tibetan researches in the context of idea of nation building in the People’s Republic of China

The article is devoted to the analysis of the Sino-Tibetan studies in the context of the realization of the Chinese idea of nation-building. It is shown, that Buddhist religion, and the Human studies are used as a resource of national policy of the PRC, and its primary method is to substantiate the thesis that historically Tibet is part of China, and the Tibetans have always been a part of the «single multi-ethnic China». As the author of the article formulates the essence of the «Sino-Tibetan studies», there are complex processes of the interaction between Tibet and China, and associated with these difficulties problem of forming the-point of the national policy in the PRC, which fully takes into account the peculiarities of the Sino-Tibetan relations, historical, religious, socio-political and epistemological roots «of the Tibet» issue.
