Breeding tailored to productivity gains of commercial wheat varieties leads to sharp decrease in their genetic diversity in terms of tolerance to abiotic stress. Wild relatives are an important source of genetic diversity extension of wheat varieties. Current study represents the evaluation of 165 nursery samples, including CIMMYT synthetic wheat lines with Ae. tauschii genome and synthetic lines from Kyoto University, spring bread wheat varieties from Russia, Kazakhstan, the USA and Canada. Also, this article provides the results of two-year examination of samples in the conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia in order to establish biological and economically valuable traits. Then, you will get familiar with the results of Biplot analysis, which shows the differences among studied samples, as well as breeding prospects of the samples, including synthetic lines. Synthetic forms were characterized by fungal diseases resistance, high leaf canopy, big spike and grain size, and well-developed root system, but inferior in grain number and density in comparison with wheat varieties...
