New triple molybdates of rubidium, zirconium (hafnium) and cupric Rb5(Cu0.5R1.5)(MoO4)6 (R = Zr, Hf), which crystallize in a structure type K5(Mg0.5Zr1.5)(MoO4)6 (sp. gr. R3c, Z=6), were synthesized. Their X-ray and thermal characteristics, IR and Raman spectra and electrical properties were investigated.
