Analyzing novel by Vl. Makanin, Shunikov discovers flexibility of genre frames in the contemporary prose. Synthesis of epic and drama poetics both in text composition and structure of the “novel-drama” internal world is described in the article. It's shown the reader's perception depends on heterogeneity of the novel-drama.
