System for automatic identification of leukocytes in a peripheral blood smear based on deep learning

We explored the problem of morphological examination of leukocytes via microscopic assessment of a blood smear. To optimize the workflow in a cytology laboratory, we developed a program for automatic identification of leukocytes in a peripheral blood smear (microscopic image) using a technique based on artificial intelligence. The diagnostic accuracy of the program reaches 87%.
