System of automatic speed correction of stands electric drives of wide-strip hot rolling mill

The technological requirements to the control system of speed modes for rolling the strips of width less than 2 mm are stated. The control system which ensures the automatic proportional control of the finishing stands speed at control and perturbation actions is considered. The control system of loop size adjustment is suggested. The systems are implemented in the form of digital algorithms in Automatic Control System controllers for the finishing stand 2500 at JSC «Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant». The results of the experimental investigations prove that the implementation of the above mentioned systems ensures the improvement in accuracy of strips pulling and thickness adjustment.
