The article provides the comprehensive theoretical and legal analysis of the system of the Russian election law sources. The author presents the original pattern of the system of the Russian election law sources taking into account the legal force of sources and the territorial division. The author concludes that strengthening of legality in Russia depends on the quality of the whole system of the election law sources as well as on the law in general. It is an essential condition for formation of the constitutional democracy in Russia.
