On the basis of 25 years' monitoring of terraneous vertebrate animals in national park “Hvalynskiy” the cartographical surface of spatial distribution of their specific density in typical habitats was constructed. It is established that aggregations of specific density not always match borders reserved, recreational, economic and security (buffer) zones. On the increased density kernels of ecological framework are allocated and the most significant ecological corridors between separate kernels are revealed. Ways of optimization the territorial structure of national park are recommended. Changes of borders of reserved and recreational zones for preserving a variety of vertebrate animals and effective protection of rare and vulnerable species are proved.
