The article reveals the features of the taxation system of self-employed citizens in the Russian Federation and its basic principles. The relevance of the topic is determined by the novelty of this system. Its advantages and disadvantages are considered, as well as the tax planning of this system and the minimization of tax payments when using it. Information on the number of self-employed in the Russian Federation was also studied.
