In article questions of formation of militia education in the Soviet Russia and specifics of functioning of militia courses in Eastern Siberia in the 20th of the 20th century are considered. The conclusion is drawn that owing to material restrictions militia courses in the Irkutsk province not fully allowed to prepare qualitative structure.
