Problem of pollution of air environment in conditions of urban territories is becoming more and more important. In this paper general approaches to inventory of emissions of harmful substances to air environment and peculiarities of monitoring of ammonia emissions are considered. Methods and means of ammonia emissions monitoring may be subdivided to the three groups: chemical-analytical, instrumental, methods with using of sensor technologies. Its systematization and determination of technical characteristics have been carried out. Results of researches described in this paper have shows that the most perspective is using of automated systems of monitoring of ammonia emissions on the basis of sensor technologies of electrochemical action.
