Systematization of the world practice of pension asset management

Designing a pension system is a challenge and a lasting legacy. The complexity arises from the many trade-offs that the concept of a pension system entails and how those initial decisions affect the social and economic behavioral responses of workers and retirees. System designers responsible for pension reform need to evaluate its internal economic coherence as well as this feedback. Economic and demographic models are needed to quantify these costs and benefits.
