A systematic approach to understanding the legal nature, essence and legal regulation of private detective activity (part 1)

The article substantiates the need to consider the legal nature, essence and legal regulation of private detective activity on the basis of a systematic approach and the provisions of the new science of security studies. On the basis of the analysis of the Russian and international sources, modern scientific theories it is proved that a private detective activity is one of types of professional detective activity, a variety of legal and business activities, one of the legal means of ensuring national security. The analysis of the content and nature of detective services, which allowed to reveal the essence of private detective activity, its focus on the protection of constitutional rights of citizens, business security, access to justice, assistance to law enforcement agencies to combat crime.
