Electronic document management systems as a study object and a teaching aid in higher education

The problems of electronic document management as a subject of study and a means of training are considered. The article reveals the trend of transition to an electronic document in all sectors of the economy and spheres of public life. The results of the analysis of accounting and reflection of these problems in the work programs of higher educational institutions are presented. The conclusion is substantiated that electronic document management systems are not actively studied and used in Russian universities, which contradicts the need to train a significant number of qualified personnel in the field of electronic document management. Proposals on measures to resolve this contradiction are formulated.
