Slavophiles about major factors of autocracy strengthening

The Slavophiles views on the main principles of the Russian statehood have been investigated. It has been shown that the representatives of the movement considered tsar power restriction through constitution as well as through strengthening bureaucratic apparatus intolerable. They believed that public opinion was the only support of autocracy as it allowed the government to know about the shortcomings of governance.
