Official and public activities of A.V. Grozdov, secretary of the clerical consistory of Tauride and Vladimir dioceses

In the Synodal period of the Russian Orthodox Church history, clerical consistory was the main body of the diocesan administration. Chancery secretary had a special status in the consistory, since the early nineteenth century he was appointed by the Synod without considering opinion of the diocesan bishop. The article analyses the main stages of the life and work of the consistory secretary A.V. Grozdov, who served in the Tauride and Vladimir dioceses in different times.
