Blüher’s professional contacts with foreign specialists who served at the smelter (including the founder of Konchezero smelter Wolf Martin Zimmermann) is discussed. A comparison of assessments given to I. F. Blüher and his activities by his contemporaries is provided. A set of factors that found its reflection in the negative assessment given by J. D. Bruce и V. I. Gennin was revealed.
