S.M. Romanovich. Murals of the theater hall machine-building plant club in Bolshevo in 1947-1948

The article discusses the project of murals made in 1947-48 by the Monumental Painting Workshop in the club of the Bolshevо Machine-Building Plant (BMZ). The author pays special attention to Sergey Mikhailovich Romanovich's sketches for the theater hall of the club. Sketches of frescoes and murals in BMZ club are provided as illustrations for the article. A number of sketches are published for the first time. Subsequently, the murals were painted over. The author raises the question of the need for careful restoration of the interiors of the building, which is an object of cultural heritage of regional significance.
