Changing of the cultural paradigm in Italy and Germany after the establishment of totalitarian regimes as a cause of the cultural trauma

The article deals with the totalitarianism features in Italy and Germany as a cultural phenomenon. The author believes that the most important aspect of the totalitarianism is the fact that it had been the cause of the rapid change of the traditional cultural paradigm that led to the cultural trauma. The research has analysed the process of breaking of the previous cultural paradigm, the results of this process are compared with the main characteristics of the cultural trauma, and the main outcomes are reviewed.
