Mortality and health status of the able-bodied age residents in the Bashkortostan Republic

The paper analyzes a supermortality of working age population issue which is rather urgent for present Russia and its regions. The author emphasizes the need to study mortality, basing not only on statistical data, but also on sociological research. Some results of the author's research in self-preserving behavior of working age, conducted in the Republic of Bashkortostan, are presented.
