The article is devoted to linguosemiotic explication of the process of denoting educational discourse with the help of signs of different types - verbal, non-verbal, mixed. Verbal signs are represented by lexical units, nominating agents, clients, non-material resources, artifacts, processes, incentives, and forms of pedagogical influence. Non-verbal signs include: paralinguistic signs (gestures, facial expressions, postures of participants in the educational process); color-semiotic signs (coloremes), in which the information-influencing vector is aimed at the color indication of the message that is significant for successful educational communication; figurative elements denoting traditional British values and concepts; sound semiotic signs, topographic and school signs, school artifacts. In the linguosemiotic system of educational discourse, the most numerous is a group of mixed characters, represented mainly by emblems, hymns and school songs of educational institutions. The article tests and verifies the hypothesis that the semiotics of the educational process in British secondary schools is predominantly represented by an extensive system of mixed signs, which consist of two inhomogeneous parts: verbal and non-verbal, belonging to other sign systems than natural language, and expressed using graphics , colors, music. The semiotic space of educational discourse is subjected to linguistic analysis. It has been established that in the context of educational communication, verbal, non-verbal and mixed signs form a unity of linguistic and extralinguistic parameters of discourse, being in different relationships and representing a multi-layered intersection of lexical groups, graphic images, color schemes and musical accompaniment.
