The shift of the regional development assessment vector towards the social component

The main approaches to assessing the level of regional socio-economic development are described. The tendency of the dominance of the social component over the economic component is noted. The classification of indicators of social orientation is proposed. The blocks of the collection “Regions of Russia, socio-economic indicators” containing indicators of the level of social regional development. The results of the analysis of indicators of the level of such development are given.
