"Humility" in the works by N. V. Gogol A. V. Nekrasova

The subject of this article is to identify the characteristics of the lexical meaning of the word humility in the works by N. V. Gogol in comparison with the definitions of this phenomenon in etymological, explanatory and orthodox dictionaries of the Russian language. The study of the word humility allows to make some conclusions about the specificity of the author`s understanding of this concept.
