This article reflects the research vitally meaningful orientations by the method of D.A. Leontiev for the two groups of law enforcement officers during the reorganization and the creation of the police - the investigators and the detectives. The average values of both samples were compared by levels of five subscales and the overall meaningfulness of life. The obtained results are analyzed.
