The agricultural production industry is anthropogenic to natural resources. In order to preserve and restore disturbed lands and reduce the damaging impact on air, plants and soil, it is necessary to apply resourcesaving technologies. Strip-till technology is recommended for row crops. However, the application of this technology involves an increased load on the soil in the area of application of chemical plant protection products. Therefore, the approach to the technological process of working solution application requires improvement, and the machines for applying chemicals need to be reequipped to implement the approach to reduce the volume of applied substances. The article proposes a technical solution for the reequipment of serial boomtype sprayers to perform strip chemical treatment and presents the results of studies of the proposed technological process in the framework of the implementation of strip technology. The technical solution is aimed at improving the efficiency of the working solution due to rational distribution to the objects of influence and uniformity of its application. The applied method of strip chemical treatment of crops helps to reduce the hectare norm of working solution. This is achieved by redistributing the working solution from the interrow to the zone of the strip with cultivated plants. In this case, the application rate per object and quality of treatment are not reduced. The technical solution is to equip the serial sprayer with special divider bodies with the installation distance equal to the sowing width. In doing so, the function of the continuous spraying was retained. In other words, the sprayer becomes a universal sprayer for use with both solid and striped spraying. Switching from one function to the other can be done without the need for additional tools directly in the field. When switching to strip spraying, the spraying solution is sprayed strictly along the strips of the crop and covers the entire surface of the stem and leaves. This reduces the cost of applying liquid chemicals and allows the spray solution to be redistributed accurately.
