Event tourism on the example in the People's Republic of China: basis and its development

The article is devoted to event tourism on the example of the People's Republic of China. Tourism is a complex socio-economic phenomenon that affects many areas of life, including the holding of various events. Events of event tourism are of great economic importance - during their implementation, the activity of almost all objects of the tourism industry is activated. Currently, in the context of the development of event tourism, events are an important element of motivation both at the global level and for a specific destination. The definition of such concepts as "event tourism" and "event" is given, the problems of implementing event tourism in China, as well as their possible solutions are considered.
